In addition to the social and cultural opportunities the centre will offer tourists, local artists, theatre-goers and the general public, the future arts centre will stimulate and support a creative economy. Since the last major mill closed in 2006, Cornwall has diversified its economy and become a major logisticscentre. The city has supported existing and new businesses and works closely with the Heart of the City and Le Village areas to update the faces of its commercial areas. Cornwall has undergone the post-industrial transformation with its population intact and its plans for a successful revitalization firmly in place. Tourism is
